The Co-Op Picnic was put on to celebrate the formation of the Middle Tennessee Ham Co-Op. The goal was to provide a quality ham event which centered around education and secondarily recruitment of hams to the clubs that are members of the Co-Op. There was also a strong opportunity to use this event to reach out to the community and attract potential newcomers to the hobby and reinforce the positive impact amateur radio has on the community.
We had several members from all 7 of the clubs that will be involved with the Co-Op next year. With our program consisting of antenna building to fox hunting we had a little bit for everyone. The food was provided by a local vender who donated all of the proceeds to the Greenbrier Historical Society and Library. The City of Greenbrier was nice enough to allow us to use the beautiful Louise Martin Park Ball Fields. With several great ham and non-ham door prizes and our great program we were able to attract about 100 participants throughout the event. I would like to personally thank everyone who came out to enjoy the event and the beautiful weather we had. I also want to thank all who helped promote, sponsor and do the event, without all of you Tony and I would have just been sitting in an empty parking lot.
Below is a sample of some of the photos. There are about 150 photos and videos in all. Please use this link to see the entire album! https://photos.app.goo.gl/cig1mHLz3PsPJJYT7
