The Sumner County Amateur Radio Association held the November club luncheon on Saturday the 29th. The event was held at the newly opened Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q on East Main Street in Hendersonville.
In total there were 17 people in attendance, including spouses and children of the 12 members as well as a member from one of our sister clubs, Nashville Amateur Radio Club. We are glad to get the support of other clubs in the Middle Tennessee Ham Co-op.
Another great club social event was enjoyed by all. Good food, good conversation and a great atmosphere always ads to the SCARA family environment. Some discussed ham radio stuff, some discussed 3d printing, some spoke about club business and others chatted about their family and other daily responsibilities. You never know what the luncheon is going to turn into.
The great benefit of the club luncheons is to get together and make some new friendships. At monthly meetings we don’t always get the opportunity to speak to the guys on the other side of the room. The luncheon allows us to get to know other club members on a more personable level.
We hope to see you all at the next luncheon. Remember, these events are open to all club members as well as their families and friends. Co-op clubs included as well as any other Amateur Radio enthusiasts who would like to attend and meet some fellow hams in a social setting. The December luncheon is currently scheduled for Saturday 12/27 at 11am, location to be determined. Keep an eye on the club calendar for future updates.
